Grandmas & Auntie Scoots birthday party!

Today was our party for Grandma and Auntie Scoot! We headed down to Clinton for some birthday fun!

Jack couldn't wait for them to open up the presents he made them (the dragonfly magnets!!) and before I even had my coat off, he was helping them open them up!

Grandma looked pretty happy!!

Auntie Scoot was pretty happy too!
I know that they will both proudly put those up on the refrigerator for everyone to see!!
Jack and Grandma also had some cuddling time while watching the Superbowl....Jack really loves his Grandma!!
Jack and Daddy had some fun being silly too!

Riley had so much fun partying, that she needed a nap!!

Weekend Fun!

Jack was pretty excited today, his cousins Hannah and Luke came over to help us celebrate Syds birthday. The kids had a great time playing with Jacks train set!! Jack did a nice job sharing all of his toys and was a big helper when it came time to pick up!!!

dragonfly birthday surprise!

Today Jack and I made a quick trip to Michael's Craft Store to pick up a few more supplies for a special present that Jack picked out to make for Auntie Scoots and Grandmas birthday!

We used popsicle sticks, paint, glue, magnets, googly eyes, clothespins, sequins and wooden ice cream spoons for this cute idea!

Jack loved painting the popsicle sticks all different colors, we chose pink and orange for the 'birthday girls' and made a blue & green one for us to keep!

After we did some painting, I got an alert on my phone saying 3 new geocaches were just hidden in our area, so we headed out (and let the paint dry!). We were able to find 2 of them before it got too late! Woo hoo!

Home again to finish up our project!! We did some gluing, added googly eyes, magnets and the clothespins, and our dragonflies were done!! (Auntie Scoot and Grandma....if you see this before your party...please act very surprised!!) :):):)

Grandmas Birthday & 4th of Feb. Hawaiian Party!

Let's start out with the big news of the day....it's Grandmas birthday!!! Happy Birthday Mom! Wish we could go out to pizza tonight, but we'll be seeing you on Sunday to celebrate!

Today was also our 4th of February Party at John's house (one of Jacks friends from our playgroup!) We dug out a pretty cool Hawaiian shirt for the occasion and they had lei's for the kids to wear too! Jack had fun playing with everyone and enjoyed a Popsicle, grapes, cantaloupe, and goldfish for a snack!

A quick stop to Wildowsky's Farm for milk and ice cream and now it's relaxing time!!

Library day!

Every Wednesday we go to the toddler program at the local library! It's an hour long, and starts with some free playtime. Then we pick up the toys, and sing a song before settling down to hear a couple of stories. We then do the closing song, after which Jack bolts over to the little kid-size tables to do a craft! Today's craft was a picture frame, where you put yourself and two of your best friends in the middle then color it! I asked Jack who his two friends were, and he said me and Daddy!! Awww......

Next stop, the post office...we mailed out postcards to people in 5 different countries! I can't wait to start getting some in the mail too!

We couldn't resist going over to Arremonys Bakery across the street...they have the best whoopie pies, cakes, cupcakes and pastries!! Oh, and of course, cookies!

Jack spotted the giant heart shaped cookies right away, and had to have one! I ended up getting some coffee and we sat down for a nice leisurely late morning treat! Jack licked all of the frosting off of the cookie, then finally took a few bites! Mmmmm!! Yummy!

Jack got a special surprise in the mailbox today....a letter from his friend J.C.! J.C. made a nice picture for Jack and did an awesome job writing his name! He even sent Jack a sheet of stickers!! So much for Mommy and Daddy being his best friends...as soon as Jack opened the envelope, he ran around the house yelling, "This is from J.C.!!! He is my BEST FRIEND!" (Well, I guess you can have a lot of best friends, right? :)
Now it's relaxing time...Jack's napping, and I'm getting caught up on stuff before making dinner and heading out to work!

Have a great day everyone!

Busy Day!!

Today was busy, busy, busy!

Our day started with a playdate with my mom's group! The kids played for a while, then made a 'groundhog puppet'!! Great job to Rebecca who came up with this cute idea!

Our next stop...Chips Pub for lunch with Auntie Scoot and baby Riley! Then our next adventure started before we even left the parking lot! It was GEOCACHING TIME!! :)

We found our first cache right at the restaurant, then headed to another cache that was hidden at a pretty cool rock painted to look like a big turtle!

Another pretty neat cache that we found was hidden at an old one room school house in Clinton! It was built in 1801!
We found 5 caches today, bringing our total to 105!!
(for info on geocaching, go to http://www.geocaching.com/!)

We weren't too far from Auntie Scoots house, so we made a quick stop there too! Tell me my niece isn't the cutest little girl in the world!! She just loves to smile and loves talking!!

Last stop was looking for postcards for our newest hobby, postcrossing! (http://www.postcrossing.com/) I'm brand new to this, but hopefully I will be getting postcards from all over the world! I'll fill you in more when they start coming in!

Momma! I am so excited!! The pet store is open!

Well, yesterday was a day that Jack has been waiting for for a while now...we've been driving by a Petco store that has been in the process of setting up a new store right down the road from us...and February 1st was the big day!! Grand opening!! Woo hoo!!

It was cute when we were walking through the parking lot ready to go in, Jack was literally skipping and shouting "I'm so, so excited!! The pet store is open! I'm so excited Mommy! Look the door is OPEN!! I wanna see the animals!!"

(okay, not as exciting for me, but to Jack it is like going to the zoo...and I have a feeling we'll be going ALL OF THE TIME!)
